Welcome to the official homepage of the GARMCA!

Established in 2004 to join rat owners together in their love of these wonderful creatures within the state of Georgia. The GARMCA is proud chapter of the Rat & Mouse Club of America and has been extended to include South Carolina and surrounding states. We are a group of fellow rat and mouse enthusiasts who are united by our love and compassion for these wonderful creatures. We aim to inform and educate the public about domestics rats and mice. We seek to promote and maintain responsible ownership and breeding though knowledge, ethics and compassion. Finally, we are here to share in our joy and love of these beautiful creatures within an understanding and caring community of fellow enthusiasts.

The RMCA maintains a valuable website for pet owners and breeders alike with articles that include almost all aspects of pet care and breeding. The site also maintains a vet listing and  SDA/Sendai tracking. The RMCA unites this chapter and others under the love of our fancy rats and mice. The GARMCA is honored to be part of such a wonderful out reaching club.

The GARMCA will be planning local events to educate rat owners and the public about the proper care and how rats/ mice can make excellent pets We will also maintain a state wide vet list that handle small rodents. Any questions or comments about the GARMCA can be directed to our coordinator. While not a full time shelter, the GARMCA offers some rescuing services and foster homes for rats and mice in need within the state. Please visit the Rescues link for more information.
